I began tutoring Spanish my junior year of high school as means of fulfilling community service hours, but continued to tutor after these were completed to help my fellow peers. After graduation of high school I continued to tutor Spanish as a part time job as I entered college in 2011. I enjoy tutoring as a job because I have wanted to teach for quite some time now. As of my sophomore year of high school I wanted to teach Spanish at the high school level, but it has now transitioned to teaching Psychology at the college/university level. Hobbies
At OWU I serve as VP for the mental health advocacy group on campus and I am also very actively involved in the psychology department. I have an enormous love for learning and enjoy watching other students learn. It gives them a sense of accomplishment and pride when they see themselves improve. I greatly understand some of the struggles that students at any age may be experiencing, but that being said I also expect students to be trying and working hard. Finally, I enjoy traveling and learning about new cultures. I was fortunate enough to be able to pay for/afford a trip to Spain in high school and traveled to Mexico in March of '14 as part of a course on Mexican Migration.
